The meaning of design can be translated with design or form. It is derived from the Latin "designare" (designate, draw) and is represented in many languages. For the most part, the design-creative aspect is understood as design.

Design, however, is primarily purpose-oriented and follows the needs of man. Physical and psychological needs, as well as requirements of the human mind to the objective environment.

Design does not have its own rules and intentions, but creates its design bases from the interests of the people, to whom the design is intended to be useful. In design theory, the concept of functionality was shaped.

In this purpose, the fundamental difference between creativity in design and in art lies.
